Clinton sits directly north of Syracuse and is one of our easiest service-area calls — usually a 5-minute drive from the office. The housing stock is younger than Clearfield's and a bit less custom than Kaysville's, which means most of our Clinton work is the bread-and-butter mix of additions, basement finishes, ADUs, and the occasional retaining wall on a newer subdivision lot.
What Clinton projects look like
- Basement remodels and ADU conversions. Most 1990s–2010s Clinton homes have unfinished or partially finished basements that homeowners eventually convert. Many end up as legal internal ADUs.
- Load-bearing wall removal letters. The standard kitchen-opens-to-living-room remodel is alive and well in Clinton.
- Decks and patio covers. Newer subdivisions have the lot space and homeowner motivation for outdoor living additions.
- Detached garages and shops. Less common than in West Point but still a regular request.
- New custom homes and additions. Especially on the west side of town as new subdivisions fill in.
Clinton specifics
- Newer housing stock means fewer foundation surprises, but the same structural questions on remodels and additions.
- Valley soils are generally well-behaved. Differential settlement is less common than on the bench.
- Quick response time from us — being literal neighbors helps.
A recent Clinton project
A homeowner wanted to convert their finished basement into a legal internal ADU for a family member. We did the structural review, designed the new shear wall configuration to support the layout change, sized headers for the new openings, and stamped the package. The engineering scope was about $1,400 and the permit went through cleanly.
